Box Score GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - Immaculata University Women's Lacrosse scored the game's first seven goals en route to a 19-6 victory over Gwynedd Mercy University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon. The win evens the Mighty Macs' record at 4-4 overall and gives them a 2-1 mark in the CSAC.
Sophomore
Carleigh Dabritz and junior
Allison Jakavick each scored two goals during Immaculata's seven goal outburst. The Griffins (3-4, 0-2) ended the streak with a goal by Lauren Mitros. But the Mighty Macs countered by scoring the next six goals, including two by freshman
Rosemarie Reitman and junior
Kelly Lapp. Mitros tallied another goal to close the first half scoring as Immaculata took a 13-2 lead into intermission.
The Mighty Macs cooled off a bit in the second frame, but still outscored Gwynedd Mercy 6-4 over the final 30 minutes to post the 19-6 victory. Senior
Danielle Lopez registered both of her goals in the second half. Retiman and Jakavick both added one goal in the second half to tie for a game-high three goals, while Lapp, Lopez, Dabritz, senior
Alyssa Petito, and freshman
Hannah Verrecchia each tallied two goals in the win. Verrecchia also collected a game-high three assists for a five point afternoon.
Brianna Greer, Danae Perrymond and Mitros led the Griffins with two goals. Sophomore
Christine McIntyre registered two saves between the pipes for the Mighty Macs.
Immaculata returns to action on Saturday, March 28, when they host Rosemont College. Game time is 1pm.
