Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's basketball team hosted Richard Stockton (2-2) on Monday evening in a final tune-up before heading into Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Wednesday night, and the Mighty Macs (0-5) fell into too deep of a hole early on to dig out of on their way to a 79-40 defeat at the hands of the Ospreys.

Senior
Reilly Larkin led the way for the Macs for the third straight game with 16 points and seven boards to go along with a team-high five steals. Sophomore
Theresa Walsh added 14 points, three steals and seven boards for the Macs. Freshmen
Bailey Krewson and
Dia Veneziano (six boards) each chipped in with five points apiece.

For the game, the Macs shot 13-for-58 (22.4%) from the field, and shot 12-for-16 (75%) from the charity stripe.

The Mighty Macs fell into an early hole that they were unable to escape in the first quarter as they trailed 19-2 until the 1:48 mark when Larkin halted the run with a free throw. Larkin got a lay-up to go as time expired in the first half, but the Ospreys held a 26-5 lead at the end of the first.

In the second quarter, the Macs continued to struggle from the field as they got just one field goal which came from Walsh at the 6:36 mark of the period. IU was much better on defense in the period and knocked down five free throws as they trailed 44-12 at the break.

In the second half, IU never got closer than 30 on their way to the defeat.

Prior to the game, the team honored former head coach Patty Canterino for being the winningest coach in program history with 185 victories.

The Macs will travel to Cedar Crest on Wednesday night for their CSAC opener.
