Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.- After taking their first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) loss of the season on Wednesday night at Cabrini, the Mighty Macs (10-7, 7-1 CSAC) bounced back in a big way with a 91-31 win over visiting Baptist Bible (1-13, 1-7 CSAC) on Saturday afternoon at Alumnae Hall. With the win, the Mighty Macs remained alone in second place in the conference.
Immaculata established new season-highs in points (91), assists (30), steals (25), forced turnovers (31) and field goal percentage (57.6%). The Mighty Macs assisted on 30 of their 38 made field goal attempts and held Baptist Bible to 26.8% shooting (11-for-41).

Lindsay Cras led a quartet of double figure Mighty Mac scorers with 12 points on the day. Seniors
Brittany Merkle (3 rebounds, 3 assists),
Adriana Sciascia (5 steals), and
Meghan Gallagher each had 11 points for IU. The 11 points for Gallagher is a new career-high, eclipsing a previous high of nine which she accomplished twice.
Senior
Emily Bell led the Mighty Macs with five boards and also added a career-high nine points, while freshman
Gina Cocci also netted a career-high nine on 4-for-5 shooting from the field.
Immaculata got off to a torrid start by scoring the game's first 26 points to take a commanding lead. They forced turnovers on the first 10 Baptist Bible possessions in building up an insurmountable lead.
Merkle and Cras combined to score the first 13 points of the game, before Sciascia scored seven of the next 11, including three on steals. Gallagher capped the big start with her first bucket of the game as IU held a 26-0 advantage just 5:58 into the game. The Defenders scored their first bucket of the game, but Bell and Gallagher responded with baskets on back-to-back possessions to build the lead up to 30-2.
The Defenders would get some offense in the closing minutes of the first half, but a pair of free throws by Cras with three seconds to go gave the Mighty Macs a 50-16 advantage going to the locker room.
Senior
Mackie Fitzgerald (7 points, 5 steals) scored seven of the first nine points of the second half for IU to give them a 59-22 lead early in the second half.
With the Mighty Macs leading 69-28, IU went on a 22-0 run over the next 10 minutes to close out the victory. Cocci hit a lay-up and then followed that up with a three-pointer, after a triple from
Reilly Larkin (6 points). Senior Sam Bonvetti scored the next two buckets for four of her eight points before Cocci and Bell finished off the run and the 91-31 win.
The Mighty Macs will look to win their second straight when they travel to Keystone on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
NOTES: Merkle has now gone over 500 points and rebounds for her career with 536 points and 503 rebounds.
