Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.- Immaculata senior Ashley O'Donnell had a career day and helped the Mighty Macs (2-4) snap a four-game losing skid with a 6-3 victory over visiting Swarthmore (0-6) on a rainy afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.

O'Donnell set a career-high with five goals and 11 points overall as she contributed in all six Mighty Mac tallies. Both the five goals and 11 points are a school-best in the last decade of IU field hockey.

The Mighty Macs as a team dominated with 23 shots to just eight for Swarthmore, and scored a season-high in goals.

Sarah Pasternak earned her second victory of the season in goal and made two saves, while sophomore
Gina Rucci also made a save in relief of Pasternak in the second half.

Swarthmore got on the board first in the 11
th minute, but the Mighty Macs stormed back to take a lead going into the locker room.

Brittany Baker netted her first goal of the season and second of her career when she knocked in a rebound off an O'Donnell shot to tie the game in the 21
st minute. The Mighty Macs had been putting up consistent pressure and were finally rewarded with a goal.

O'Donnell then put the Mighty Macs in front with an impressive goal. She carried it along the back line to the left of the goal and made three defenders miss before beating the goalkeeper to make it 2-1 Mighty Macs going into the locker room.

Swarthmore would tie the game shortly after halftime as Erin Gluck got her second goal of the game in the 45
th minute, but again the Mighty Macs had a response in the form of O'Donnell.

She scored in the 46
th minute on a penalty stroke to the right of the goalie, and just over two minutes later, she ripped a shot from just in front of the goalkeeper to make it 4-2.

In the 52
nd minute, O'Donnell carried the ball from midfield and beat the keeper for her fifth goal of the game, and would cap her career-best day in the 55
th minute with another impressive goal. While falling to the ground in front of the net, she swung her stick with one hand at the ball and hit it into the lower left corner of the net.

The five goals now gives her six on the season, and bests her previous single-game high of three against Cedar Crest last season.

The Mighty Macs will look to make it two in a row on Wednesday at Arcadia at 4 p.m.
