SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team travelled to Marywood on Saturday afternoon in search of their first CSAC victory, but the Pacers (3-5, 2-0 CSAC) scored nine straight goals in the middle of the game to erase a two goal Mighty Mac (2-4, 0-2 CSAC) advantage on the way to a 15-9 Marywood victory. Allison Jakavick each scored four goals while
Kelly Lapp (one assist) added the final tally for the Mighty Macs.

Alyssa Petito had two assists, while junior
Danielle Lopez also added a helper.

Mackie Fitzgerald played well on defense causing a team-high three turnovers and scooped up two groundballs. Juniors
Samantha Bonvetti and
Andrea Okoro tied for the team-lead with three groundballs each.

Nicole Behrndt (2-4) made eight saves in defeat.
The teams traded two goals apiece early on as Cook got the first goal of the game eight and half minutes in before Marywood tied it up. Thirty seconds later, Jakavick got her first of the game on an assist by Petito, but again the Pacers quickly tied it less than a minute later.
Jakavick and Lapp then scored back-to-back goals in 32 seconds to make it 4-2 with 15 minutes remaining in the first half.
Marywood then started their 9-0 run that kept the Mighty Macs off the scoreboard for 27 minutes of game time. At the end of the spurt, the Pacers led 11-4 before Jakavick netted her third of the game to halt the run.
Marywood would score the next two before Cook scored two straight to make it 13-7, but there were just eight minutes remaining.
The teams would trade two goals back-and-forth to reach the final of 15-9.
Cook and Jakavick continue to be the leading scorers for IU as Cook has 18 goals so far this season with Jakavick collecting 14.
Immaculata hopes to snap their skid on Tuesday when they travel to Centenary for a 4 p.m. start.
