Women's Soccer Drops Road Contest, 2-0

ROSEMONT, Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team travelled to Rosemont on Tuesday afternoon looking for their second straight win after Saturday's 4-1 Senior Day victory, but the Mighty Macs (3-12-1, 3-6-1 CSAC) were unable to get on the board and fell 2-0 to the Ravens (9-5-3, 6-3-1 CSAC).
 
The loss eliminates the Mighty Macs from a chance at a second straight CSAC postseason berth.
 
The Ravens got on the board in the 19th minute in a tight defensive first half where each team registered only two shots.
 
In the second half, the offense picked up as the Mighty Macs led the Ravens 6-5, led by two shots each from sophomore Carly Mirarchi and Erica Buckley, but they were unable to find the back of the net.
 
The Ravens added to their lead in the 68th minute as they beat senior goalie Meghan McCurnin to take a 2-0 lead.
 
McCurnin registered two saves on the day.
 
Immaculata will close out their season on Thursday night at Gwynedd Mercy with a 6 p.m. game.
