CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Immaculata University women's basketball reached the mid-way point in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule Saturday afternoon defeating Baptist Bible College, 75-31, to run its league record to an impressive 8-0. The Mighty Macs (13-3) also ran their current winning streak to six games with the victory.

It was a balanced scoring effort for the Mighty Macs as seven players scored five points or more.
Adriana Sciascia paced the team in both points and rebounds with 16 points and five rebounds, and also had five assists and four steals. Starters
Alison Zimny and
Sara Smith each scored 10 points. Zimny added three rounds and two steals, while Smith finished with two assists and four steals.

Meghan Gallagher and
Lindsay Cras chipped in seven points and three rebounds apiece, and Cras had four steals.
Mackie Fitzgerald had five points and four steals, and
Marisa Kinsey had five points and three rebounds.

Immaculata led for all but 32 seconds in the contest. Baptist Bible scored the opening basket 21 seconds into the game, and Immaculata tied the game at 2-2 as
Brittany Merkle put in a layup at the 19:07 mark. Merkle's layup started an 8-0 run for the Mighty Macs to open up a lead they would never relinquish.

The Defenders (1-12, 1-8 CSAC) were able to cut the Mighty Macs lead to one (9-8) with 13:31 remaining in the opening half, but the visitors went on another 8-0 spurt to pull ahead, 17-8, with 12:21 to play.

The closest Baptist Bible would come the rest of the way was seven points. Immaculata led by as many as 23 (40-17) during the first half. The Mighty Macs held a 40-18 lead at halftime.

Immaculata saw its lead continue to grow in the second half. The Mighty Macs shot 52.0 percent from the field (13-25) and 44.4 percent from three-point range (4-9) during the final 20 minute minutes.

Immaculata plays its final non-conference game of the regular season tomorrow evening as it hosts Haverford at 5 p.m. at Alumnae Hall.Â
