Cook Earns Inquirer Academic All-Area

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Junior Katie Cook was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Lacrosse team as voted on by the sports information offices of the 28 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.  In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, an athlete must be in his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or better.
 
Cook was named to the 12-member squad on Tuesday morning after an outstanding third season with the Mighty Macs in which she earned First Team All-CSAC.  Cook had 40 goals this past season and 25 assists for a total of 65 points, which tied for second best on the team.  She scored a team-high three game-winning goals in helping the team to the first postseason victory in Immaculata women's lacrosse history.
 
Cook will enter her senior season with the third most career points with 128, fourth most goals (87), second most assists (41), and third most draw controls (104).
