IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University men's lacrosse evened its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) record to 2-2 with a 25-7 victory against Rosemont College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Mighty Macs set or tied several single-game records during the game, three individual records and one team mark.
Dante Tuscai set a new school record for ground balls in a contest as he scooped up 12 loose balls.
Ben Tuscai tied the single-game mark for assists (7) and points (10). Tuscai's seven assists gave the senior 33 assists this season, which broke his own single-season mark of 31 during the 2011 season. As a team, Immaculata registered 15 assists during the contest to break the standing record by one helper.
Ben Tuscai finished with his 10 points on seven assists and three goals.
Dante Tuscai led all Immaculata goal scorers with five goals.
Bhelly Bagbonon and
Jordon Smith each recorded three goals and one assist, while
Chris Srinivasan recorded three goals.
Mike Boyd finished with two goals and one assist, and
Rocco Piliero and
Mike Quinn each tallied two goals.
Luc Minnich had one goal and two assists, and
Jonathan Kopistecki dished out three assists.
Ryan Cipriani was the other Mighty Mac to score with one tally.
After five minutes of scoreless action, Immaculata broke through at the 9:31 mark for the first of three goals during a four minute-stretch. The Mighty Macs led 5-1 after the first quarter and had pushed their lead to 8-1 before the Ravens scored their second goal.
Rosemont (1-13, 0-5 CSAC) scored three goals during the second quarter, the most goals during any quarter for the visitors during the contest. However, Rosemont was down at halftime, 13-4.
The Ravens tallied the first goal of the third quarter to cut the Mighty Macs' lead to eight goals (13-5), but it would be Rosemont's lone goal of the stanza. Immaculata rattled off seven goals during the final 11:47 of the quarter to lead 20-5 heading into the final period.

Dante Tuscai was 9-for-12 and Kopistecki went 8-for-13 in face-off attempts for Immaculata.
The Mighty Macs collected 64 ground balls as a team. Behind
Dante Tuscai's 12 ground balls were Bagbonon and Kopistecki with eight apiece.
Ben Tuscai finished with six, and Quinn scooped up five loose balls.
Jalal Hodges got his first start of the season in goal for Immaculata and played the first 45 minutes. He made seven saves and allowed five Rosemont goals.
Jon Diodati played the final quarter, recording two saves and letting in two goals.
Immaculata heads to Marywood on Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest against the Pacers. A win on Saturday would secure the Mighty Macs a playoff spot in the 2013 CSAC Tournament.
