Immaculata Falls to Cabrini, 18-8

RADNOR, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (8-5, 4-2 CSAC) travelled to first place Cabrini (8-5, 7-0 CSAC) on Tuesday afternoon, and after jumping ahead 1-0, the Cavaliers scored the next seven goals on their way to an 18-8 conference win.  Junior Katie Cook led the Mighty Macs with four points on three goals and one assist.
 
Freshman Allison Jakavick added three goals of her own while sophomore Danielle Lopez had three points on two goals and one assist.
 
In the loss, senior Anne Moulton had four groundballs which gave her 163 for her career which is a new individual career high for an Immaculata player.
 
Junior Nicole Behrndt had five saves in goal for the Mighty Macs.
 
Lopez scored just 26 seconds into the game to give Immaculata the early advantage, but Cabrini would score the next seven goals before Cook ended the run with just over 20 minutes to go with the Mighty Macs trailing 7-2.
 
Jakavick and Cook would each score before the end of the half, but Cabrini had grown their lead to 14-4 by the time the teams went to the locker rooms.
 
In the second half, each team would tally four goals.  Cabrini scored the first three, but the Mighty Macs would rip off four in a row to shrink the gap to 17-8.  Cabrini would score the final goal of the game with 25 seconds left to get to the final of 18-8.
 
Immaculata will look to get back in the win column this Friday when they travel to Neumann for a 4 p.m. start.
