GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- After falling in double overtime on Tuesday night to Marywood, Immaculata (8-4, 4-1 CSAC) bounced back with a 15-12 victory over Gwynedd-Mercy (3-9, 2-4 CSAC). The Mighty Macs took a 2-1 lead early in the game and never looked back in their second victory over the Griffins in program history. Sophomore
Danielle Lopez (4 DC, 5 GB) had four goals to lead the team while freshman
Shannon Neill (2 G, 2 A, 4 CT) and freshman
Allison Jakavick (3 G, 1 A) each added four points as well.

Katie Cook added three goals and freshman
Kelly Lapp (one assist) had two goals. Junior
Caitlin Caruso (one assist) had one goal to wrap up the scoring for the Mighty Macs.

Nicole Behrndt, coming off a strong effort against the Pacers, had three saves in the win.
After the Griffins got the 1-0 lead, Neill scored twice and Jakavick got her first goal to give the Mighty Macs a 3-1 advantage with 18 minutes left in the first that they would not relinquish the rest of the way.
The lead got up to 6-2 ten minutes later as Cook, Lopez, and Caruso got on the board for the Mighty Macs. Immaculata took an 8-4 lead into the locker room at half.
The Mighty Mac advantage never got smaller than two goals in the entire second half. Leading 11-9 with just over ten minutes to go, Immaculata put the game away by scoring four of the next five goals to take a commanding 15-10 lead with three minutes remaining.
Gwynedd-Mercy would score two goals late, but the Mighty Macs would claim the 15-12 victory.
The Mighty Macs will be back in action this coming Tuesday when they travel to Cabrini at 4 p.m. to take on the first-place Cavaliers.
