Immaculata Falls On The Road At Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (4-3, 1-0 CSAC) took an 8-7 lead into the locker room at Arcadia at halftime, but the Knights (3-3) scored seven straight goals to open the second half to grab a commanding lead and take the non-conference contest 17-10.
 
For Immaculata, freshman Kelly Lapp led the team with three goals while junior Aneesa Hill and freshman Allison Jakavick (team-high four groundballs) picked up two goals a piece.  Freshman Shannon Neill (one assist), junior Katie Cook (two assists) and sophomore Danielle Lopez tallied one goal each to round out the scoring for the Mighty Macs.
 
The Mighty Macs battled back from 1-0 and 3-1 leads early to tie the game at 3-3 nine minutes into the game.  Jakavick then netted a goal to make it 4-3 before the Knights tied it up just 43 seconds later.
 
Hill then notched her second goal of the game on a feed from junior Amanda Grahn (two assists) to lift the Mighty Macs to a 5-4 lead, but again Arcadia tied it up one minute and fourteen seconds later.
 
After Arcadia scored to take a 7-6 lead, Lapp tied the game and Neill scored on a free-position shot with 36 seconds left in the half as Immaculata carried a one goal lead into half.
 
The Knights then took control in the second half with seven straight goals and ten of out twelve in the final thirty minutes to take the non-conference game.
 
Immaculata will get back into league play looking to go 2-0 in CSAC play this Tuesday when they host Notre Dame.
