IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's lacrosse team fell to visiting Widener University, 16-7, on Wednesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium in non-league action.
Dante Tuscai led the Mighty Macs (1-4) with five points during the game as the senior scored three goals and assisted on two others.
Ben Tuscai recorded one goal and two assists, while
Rocco Piliero had one tally and one helper.
Bhelly Bagbonon and
Jonathan Kopistecki scored Immaculata's other two markers of the contest, and
Brett Macaulay registered one assist.
Dante Tuscai also won 12 of 18 face-off attempts and
CJ Schultheis went 2-for-8 as Immaculata held the edge in face-off wins, 14-12.
Jon Diodati played the full 60 minutes in goal for Immaculata recording a season-high 20 saves during the loss.
The Pride was paced by Johnny Casey, who recorded six goals and three assists, and Tim Taylor with three goals and three assists.
Immaculata ended the first quarter scoring its first goal with 23 seconds remaining to cut the score to 5-1. The Mighty Macs added two more goals during the final three minutes to close out the second quarter, and the Pride led 10-3 at halftime.
Immaculata takes to the road for a contest at DeSales on Saturday, March 16, beginning at 1 p.m.
