YORK, Pa.- Immaculata University dropped both ends of a non-league doubleheader at York College, 9-0 and 10-1, in the season finale of the Mighty Macs 2012 campaign Sunday afternoon.
Immaculata concludes the 2012 slate 16-22 overall and 7-11 in the CSAC.
York started the scoring with two runs in the first and tacked on a single in the fourth before sealing the victory with a six-run fifth.
Alex Kobylinski (2-2) suffered the loss in 4.1 innings allowing seven earned runs on seven hits.
Kirk Wenzler pitched 1.2 innings in relief surrendering one run on four hits.
The Mighty Macs were limited to just two hits in the opener.
Brett Knazek and
Brandon Seibert registered one hit each.
In the nightcap, the Spartans jumped to an early lead pushing across three runs in the first and four more in the third. The Mighty Macs posted its only run of the game in the fourth when
Brett Knazek scored on a throwing error.
York added a pair of insurance runs in the fourth and a single in the fifth to claim the victory.
Eli Vottero and
Joe DiGiaimo registered one hit a piece for the Mighty Macs.
Aaron Dietrich (2-5) suffered the loss giving up three runs on three hits.
John Pedorenko came in relief allowing four runs on six hits across 2.2 innings and
Brett Knazek pitched the final 3.0 innings giving up just one run and struck out one batter.
