Women's Lacrosse Closes Out Season With Victory

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Immaculata University's women's lacrosse team closed the 2012 season in convincing fashion on Saturday afternoon, downing Cedar Crest College, 18-1, on Senior Day at Draper Walsh Stadium.
 
Senior Emily Hallett and Chesley Murta capped their careers with four goals and one assist for five points during the game. For Hallett, her goal with 6:46 remaining in the first half marked the 100th point of her career. Alyssa Petito also amassed five points during the contest with three goals and two assists.
 
Danielle Lopez and Samantha Bonvetti each scored one goal and one assist. Allison Salvo, Kelly Kugler, Katie Cook, Mackie Fitzgerald and Lindsey O'Connor all recorded one goal apiece.
 
Immaculata led at halftime, 15-0, and scored the first 17 goals of the contest.
 
Tara Fikes scored the Falcons' only goal of the game.
 
Mighty Macs' goalkeeper Britt Worthington made four saves.
 
Immaculata finishes the season with a record of 4-12, 2-6 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Cedar Crest fell to 1-14, 1-7 CSAC.
