IMMACULATA, Pa. - After falling in the opener, 7-0, Immaculata University rallied for a 8-3 win in game two against Neumann University as the squads split Saturday's Colonial States Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader.
Immaculata rebounded in game two with the 8-3 win as
Richard Cusic pitched a complete game on his way to his second win of the year after allowing three runs on seven hits.
Eli Vottero led the Immaculata offense with three hits and three RBIs.
Brett Knazek finished with two RBIs in the win.
Trailing 2-0, the Mighty Macs capitalized on four Neumann errors knocking in seven runs for the lead. Neumann added a single run in the top of the fifth but Immaculata locked in the win with an insurance run from
Billy Gaines on
Brett Knazek's single.
In game one, Neumann opened the game with a pair of runs followed by a three-run third and two more in the final inning for the shutout win.
Matt Bolden collected two hits in the opener while
Brandon Seibert and
Joseph Knazek registered one hit each.
Bryan McHale (1-4) took the loss on the mound after allowing just three earned runs in 6.0 innings of work.
Joseph Caria pitched the final inning and did not allow any hits.
Immaculata returns to action on Friday, April 27 traveling to Keystone for its final regular season CSAC series. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
