Centenary Defeats Women's Lacrosse

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary College defeated visiting Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon, 18-6.
 
Immaculata (3-10, 1-5 CSAC) received three goals and one assist from Katie Cook, and one goal and one assist from Kelly Kugler. Danielle Lopez and Emily Hallett each scored once while Allison Salvo recorded one assist.
 
Centenary (9-3, 5-2 CSAC) began the contest scoring seven consecutive goals. Immaculata scored the final two tallies of the first half as Lopez scored the Mighty Mac's first goal with 4:14 left, and Hallett scored off a pass from Salvo with just inside one minute remaining. The Cyclones led 7-2 at the break.
 
Cook's first marker of the game ended a two-goal string for Centenary, and made the Cyclones' lead 9-3 with 25:02 remaining in the contest. Centenary then pushed the margin to 15-3 before Immaculata added a goal by Kugler with 12:40 left in the game, and Cook scored twice more during the final seven minutes.
 
Britt Worthington recorded 12 saves for Immaculata. Andrea Senkarik made just four stops for Centenary.
 
Meredith Bruce led the Cyclones with five points on three goals and two assists while Alysia Pinkerton had a team-high four goals.
 
Immaculata travels to Marywood on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game.
