Baseball Takes Three-Game Set With Philadelphia Bible

 LANGHORNE, Pa.- Immaculata University's baseball squad finished the season series with Philadelphia Biblical on Tuesday afternoon earning an 9-2 win to the host Crimson Eagles in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game.

Joe Caria started on the mound and lasted 4.0 innings. He allowed two earned runs on seven hits. Ernell Harley Jr. came in relief and did not allow any hits in 2.0 innings. Kirk Wenzler, John Pedorenko, and Matt Housman each pitched one inning to close out the game.

Matt Hardy started the scoring in the first with a single from TJ Warner for the early lead. The Crimson Eagles answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame and would hold the lead until Immaculata scored a pair of runs in the third and fourth inning. The Mighty Macs put the game out reach with a single run from Joe DiGiaimo in the fifth and three more in the eighth to seal the win.

Warner finished the afternoon 3-for-5 with one run scored and two RBI. Matt Hardy and Joe DiGiaimo each were 2-for-5 with two runs a piece while Hardy registered two RBIs.

Immaculata (12-12, 5-4 CSAC) returns to play on Friday traveling to Gwynedd-Mercy for a single game. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
