BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame of Maryland University defeated Immaculata University, 16-11, in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon.
Emily Hallett led the squad with four goals while
Katie Cook tallied three goals.
Kelly Kugler and
Danielle Lopez each recorded two goals, and
Caitlin Caruso had one assist for Immaculata.
Hallett and Kugler scored just under two minutes apart to begin the game and give Immaculata an early 2-0 lead. The Gators got on the scoreboard with Ashley Cumberland's goal at the 22:34 mark of the first half, cutting the Mighty Macs' edge to 2-1. Cook then pushed Immaculata's advantage to 3-1 with her goal with 18:30 left in the half.
However, Notre Dame scored nine straight goals to end the opening half, and led 10-3 at intermission.
The Gators scored three more times to begin the second period, before Hallett scored back-to-back goals less than one minute apart to make the score 13-5 with 20:57 left in the contest.
Notre Dame got up 16-5 before Immaculata ended the contest with six consecutive goals for the final margin, 16-11.
Molly Murray led the Gators with six goals while Cumberland finished with five tallies. Allison Terry also had four goals.

Immaculata hosts Lancaster Bible on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. for a non-league game at Draper Walsh Stadium.
