Women's Lacrosse Falls Against Swarthmore

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Swarthmore College defeated host Immacuata University on Thursday evening in non-conference women's lacrosse action, 19-3, at Draper Walsh Stadium.
 
Immaculata goals were scored by Katie Cook, Emily Hallett and Danielle Lopez. Megan Chacosky and Anne Moulton led the Mighty Macs with four ground balls each. Immaculata goalkeeper Britt Worthington made seven saves in the loss.
 
Swarthmore was led by Annalise Penikis' six points on one goals and five assists. Marie Mutryn was the Garnet's leading goal scorer with four tallies. Hillary Santana played the entire game in goal for Swarthmore and recorded one stop.
 
Hallett and Lopez each scored for the Mighty Macs (1-7) during the first half at the 24:51 and 17:23 marks, respectively. Cook scored at the 23:27 mark of the second half.
 
Swarthmore (7-2) had built a 14-2 lead at halftime, scoring seven goals during the final 13 minutes of the stanza following Lopez' tally for Immaculata.
 
Immaculata head to Notre Dame of Maryland University on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start.
