IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse contest to Gwynedd-Mercy College, 15-5, on a cool and damp Saturday afternoon.
Immaculata slipped to 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the CSAC while Gwynedd-Mercy improved to 2-5, 2-2 in the league.
Danielle Lopez led the Mighty Macs with two goals and one assist.

Kelly Kugler all added one goal apiece, and
Emily Hallett recorded one assist.
Gwynedd-Mercy scored the first two markers but Cook scored for Immaculata on Hallett's assist at the 23:14 mark to cut the score to 2-1. Following another Griffins' goal with 18:03 remaining in the first half, Lopez won the draw control for the Mighty Macs and ran down the field and netted a goal. Lopez scored back-to-back goals as she scored on a free position shot at the 17:31 mark, tying the score at 3-all.
However, Gwynedd-Mercy ended the half scoring five consecutive goals for an 8-3 advantage at the break.
The Mighty Macs came out of intermission and scored two quick goals to get within three goals, 8-5, just 1:09 into the half. But, the Griffins did not allow another goal the rest of the way.

Britt Worthington made 14 saves. Gwynedd-Mercy goalie Marina Hubbard started and played the first half making four saves in the win.
Shannon Carabba, Jenna D'Arcy and Morgan Hosler each registered three goals and one assist, and Kelsey Yori had two goals and two assists for the Griffins.
Immaculata concludes its three-game home stand on Thursday hosting non-conference opponent Swarthmore at 6 p.m.
