Women's Lacrosse Falls In Home Opener

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's lacrosse squad opened the home portion of the 2012 season on Monday afternoon falling in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest to visiting Cabrini College, 15-2.
 
Emily Hallett and Katie Cook both scored unassisted during the second half for the Mighty Macs (1-5, 1-1 CSAC). Immaculata goalkeeper Britt Worthington made 17 saves.
 
Cabrini (2-2, 2-1 CSAC) scored the first 13 goals before Hallett found the back of the net with 19:08 remaining in the second half. Cook scored with 10:22 to play to make the score 14-2 in the Cavaliers' favor.
 
Lacie Doubet recorded six goals and one assist to lead Cabrini with seven points. Christi Pasquarielle and Kellie Manoppello also each finished with four points. Cavaliers' goalie Janel Folkomer recorded 11 saves in the win.
 
Immaculata hosts Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday at 1 p.m. in another league contest.
