Women's Lacrosse Downed By Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa.
– Immaculata University dropped a non-conference women's lacrosse contest at Lebanon Valley College, 19-5, on Saturday afternoon.
 
Immaculata falls to 1-4 overall while Lebanon Valley improved to 3-2.
 
Kelly Kugler recorded two goals and Emily Hallett had two assists. Katie Cook, Danielle Lopez and Chelsey Murta all scored one goal, and Alyssa Petito and Megan Chacosky had one assist apiece.
 
Kugler scored the game's opening goal less than three minutes in on an assist from Hallett, but Lebanon Valley answered back with seven goals by the 18-minute mark of the first half. Cook and Lopez each scored less than three minutes apart to cut the Dutchmen's lead to 8-3 with 9:17 to play in the first. Lebanon Valley added a goal just inside six minutes left to lead 9-3 at halftime.
 
After Lebanon Valley scored to begin the second half, Kugler tallied her second goal to bring the Mighty Macs back within six (10-4). However, the Dutchmen used a 9-0 run before the Mighty Macs could answer to seal the win.
 
Immaculata's Britt Worthington made seven saves while suffering the loss in goal. Lebanon Valley's starting goalkeeper Corinne Palombo allowed three goals and made three stops during her 30 minutes of action.
 
Jenny Simensky scored four goals and had one assist for the Dutchmen.
 
Immaculata returns to conference play on Monday, March 19 hosting Cabrini at 4 p.m.
