Baseball Falls at Eastern

ST. DAVID'S, Pa.- Immaculata University's baseball team fell in non-conference action to host Eastern, 13-4. Eli Vottero and Matt Hardy were both 2-for-3 and Hardy had a pair of RBI to lead Immaculata (3-6).

Eastern opened up the game with single in the first, a three-run second, followed by a four-run third inning. Eastern also added three more in the fifth to extend its lead to 10-0. Immaculata tallied its first run in the top of the sixth as T.J Warner advanced on an Eastern error and later scored on Joseph's Knazek grounder.

Immaculata finished their scoring in the seventh with three runs as the Mighty Macs took advantage of a pair bases-loaded walks scored by Hardy, Brandon Seibert, and Joseph Knazek.

Brett Knazek (1-1) started and went 1.1 innings for Immaculata. He allowed three runs on three hits and struck out two. Kobylinksi came in for Knazek and pitched 3.0 innings, giving up six runs on five hits. Matt Dolan pitched in relief allowing two runs on five hits in 1.2 innings of work.

Immaculata hosts CSAC foe Centenary for its home opener on Friday, March 16 at 3 p.m.
