ROSEMONT, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's lacrosse won its Colonial States Athletic Conference opener on Tuesday afternoon against Rosemont College, 16-1.
Immaculata improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the CSAC while Rosemont falls to 0-2, 0-1 CSAC.
Danielle Lopez led the Mighty Macs with four goals and one assist while
Emily Hallett recorded two goals and three assists.
Katie Cook finished with three goals and one assist,
Chelsey Murta had two goals and two assists, and
Alyssa Petito registered one goal and three assists. Overall, Immaculata had 11 players record a point in the game.
Immaculata scored four goals during the first eight minutes of the game. Rosemont scored its only goal with 21 minutes left in the first half to make the score 4-1 at the time. The Mighty Macs scored seven more goals before the break, and led 11-1 at halftime.
The Mighty Macs scored five more times during an 11-minute stretch in the second half, the last tally coming with 13:43 left in the game.

Britt Worthington made five saves in the win.
Rosemont's Kerry Hars scored the Ravens' only goal, and goalkeeper Nia Hall made eight saves.
Immaculata plays Misericordia on Thursday in a non-league contest at 4 p.m.
