LANGHORNE, Pa.- Senior guard Bridget Welz scored 15 points, including the 1,000th point of her collegiate career, leading Immaculata to a 65-32 victory over Philadelphia Biblical University on Tuesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
Kelly Brown totaled 14 points and five rebounds and Chrissy Esbensen netted eight points and seven boards. Welz pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
The Mighty Macs jumped out to an 8-0 run and would hold a 19 point advantage with five minutes remaining in the first half. Immaculata held the Crimson Eagles to just nine points until the 2:05 minute mark as the Mighty Macs held a 32-12 advantage at the break.
Immaculata continued to dominate after the break, outscoring the Crimson Eagles 10-4 to start the second half. The Mighty Macs put the game well out of reach, taking a 30 point lead, 56-26, with 5:50 remaining as Immaculata had 11 different players score in the victory.
Dani Bradley-Wilson led the Crimson Eagles with a double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds.
Immaculata (11-11, 9-4) hosts Rosemont for its final home contest of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. The Mighty Macs will host Play4Kay on Saturday to help raise awareness for breast cancer research and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
