Men's Lacrosse Drops Opener To Franklin & Marshall

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University opened the 2012 campaign on Wednesday afternoon falling to visiting Franklin & Marshall, 23-1, in non-conference action.
 
Ben Tuscai scored the Mighty Macs' only goal of the contest at the 9:22 mark of the first half to cut the Diplomats' lead in half, 2-1. Franklin & Marshall led just 4-1 after the first, but added seven goals in the second quarter to lead 11-1 by halftime.
 
Jon Diodati started in goal for Immaculata and played the first 41 minutes allowing 18 goals and making six saves. Max Bonhage came in for the final 19 minutes and made four saves while allowing the Diplomats' final five tallies.
 
Franklin & Marshall had five goals apiece from Tristan Miller and Billy Kempner to lead the squad. Cameron Setian started in goal and played three quarters making 12 stops.
 
Immaculata will be back in action on March 3 at 1 p.m. hosting DeSales.
