BALTIMORE, Md. – Immaculata University women's basketball closed out the regular season on Wednesday evening with a 66-46 win against Notre Dame of Maryland University in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. The Mighty Macs also welcomed another member to the 1,000-point club as Kelly Brown netted 22 points to reach the milestone.  
 
Immaculata improved to 14-11 overall and 12-4 in the CSAC, and the Mighty Macs head into next week's CSAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed.
 
Brown added seven rebounds and four steals to her 22 points. Leah Kuczynski recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Sara Smith also reached double figures with 10 points and six rebounds. Bridget Welz and Chrissy Esbensen each finished with nine points, and Esbensen added eight assists.
 
Immaculata used a 21-0 run coming out of halftime to blow the game open after leading by just seven, 29-22, at halftime. The Mighty Macs led 50-22 by the 13:32 mark of the second half. The Mighty Macs led by as many as 34 with 7:04 to play in the game before settling on the final 20-point margin.
 
Brown's jumper just inside the three-point arc with 2:53 remaining in the contest not only put the Mighty Macs up 66-36, but that jumper marked her becoming the 20th member of the women's basketball 1,000 point club.
 
Immaculata never trailed in the contest as it opened the game on an 8-0 run, and outscored Notre Dame 12-3 during the first five minutes.
 
India Scott led the Gators (0-22, 0-16 CSAC) with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Imani Stokes finished with 13 points and a team-leading 16 rebounds.
 
Immaculata hosts No. 6 seed Neumann in a CSAC Tournament quarterfinal on Monday night at 7 p.m. at Alumnae Hall. Marywood, which earned the No. 4 seed, hosts No. 5 Cabrini in the other quarterfinal contest on Monday. The winner of each game advance to the semifinals against either No. 1 seed Gwynedd-Mercy or No. 2 seed Baptist Bible.
