ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University defeated Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon, 8-1.
 
Kara Trowbridge picked up the Mighty Macs' point of the match with her victory at fourth singles. Trowbridge was a 6-4, 6-2 winner against Teresa Kozin.
 
Immaculata battled with Neumann throughout doubles actions. The Mighty Macs' top doubles team of Emily Degnan and Paige Sparks were ultimately defeated, 9-7, by Breanne Klar and Sarah Schroeder. Theresa Martini and Trowbridge lost 8-6 at second doubles, and Ally Minton and Julie Einwechter were defeated at third doubles, 8-4.

Immaculata slips to 3-10, 2-5 in the CSAC. Neumann is now 6-6, 5-2 CSAC.
 
Immaculata continues conference play tomorrow at Cairn. The match is slated to begin at 12 p.m.
