Immaculata Women Victorious Against Keystone, 73-54

Bridget Welz poured in a game-high 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Immaculata University to a 73-54 victory over visiting Keystone College Wednesday evening in a CSAC women's basketball contest inside Alumnae Hall.

The Mighty Macs improved to a 8-8 overall and 6-2 in conference play. Keystone falls 6-9, 3-4 CSAC,

Immaculata used a 16-6 run over a five-minute span to take a 38-20 advantage with 4:15 left before the break. Immaculata held a 47-22 lead at halftime after shooting 14 of 29 (.483) from the field compared to Keystone's 29 percent (8-28).

Immaculata pushed its lead to 28 just five minutes into the second stanza, 57-29, but the Giants would cut the margin to 20 with eight minutes remaining, 63-43.The Mighty Macs increased their lead using a 10-4 run in the final five minutes of play to seal the win, 73-54.

Kelly Brown netted 12 points and five rebounds while Brianna Duffin totaled 10 points and three steals. Leah Kuczynski pulled down 10 boards and finished with eight points in the win.

Jazmyn Robinson and Alyssa Cuomo led Keystone with 15 points and five rebounds apiece.

Immaculata will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, traveling to Marywood at 1 p.m.
