Box Score

DOYLESTOWN, Pa.-
The Immaculata University women's soccer team dropped a double overtime heartbreaker to Delaware Valley, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Aggies got on the board first at the 16:00 mark on Dana Gentile's first goal of the contest and held the 1-0 advantage at half time. With time running out in regulation, senior Zena Tracey buried Kim Steinke's pass to tie the game 1-1 at the 44th minute of the second half.

Despite chances for both squads, the game would head into overtime, where both teams went scoreless. However, Immaculata's Meghan McCurnin could not stop Gentile's blast at the 101:00 mark, giving Delaware Valley (2-0) the 2-1 double overtime decision.

McCurnin recorded nine saves in the loss.

Immaculata hosts Washington College for its home opener on Thursday, September 8 at 4 p.m.
