IMMACULATA, Pa.- Immaculata University dropped a 17-2 decision to Keystone College as the Giants snapped the Mighty Macs 13-game winning streak on Friday afternoon in CSAC baseball action.
The Mighty Macs drop to an overall record of 16-10 and 9-4 in the CSAC while the Giants improve to 21-10 and 9-4 in the conference.
Joe DiGiaimo managed to get two of Immaculata's six hits as he went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Aaron Dietrich (3-2) took the loss on the mound after surrending 12 earned runs on 12 hits over 5.1 innings.
Aaron Haas pitched two innings allowing no runs on one hit.
Keystone scored all 17 runs before Immaculata scored once in the seventh inning when
Joe Rawlings homered to left field. Dave News was the other Mighty Mac to score when
Matt Hardy hit an RBI sacrifice fly
in the eighth inning.
Keystone's Brian Henry finished 4-for-4 at the plate, scoring four runs. Rob Rogers (5-1) earned the win on the mound pitching seven innings. He allowed one earned run on three hits while striking out six batters.
Immaculata travels to Keystone on Saturday to finish the three-game set at 12 p.m.
