HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Immaculata University's men's lacrosse team earned a 13-9 victory against host Centenary College on Monday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
Immaculata improves to 6-7 overall and 3-2 in the league while Centenary slips to 5-6, 1-4 CSAC.
Trailing 6-4 at halftime, the Mighty Macs tallied five goals in the third quarter to even the score at 9-9 heading into the final 15 minutes of play. Immaculata continued to pour it on, scoring four unanswered goals during the final period for the 13-9 win.
Immaculata's five goals in the third frame all came back-to-back during a four-minute span.
Dante Tuscai had two goals during the spurt, his last with 7:31 remaining in the quarter to put the Mighty Macs ahead, 9-6.
However, Centenary scored three man-up goals during the final 1:28 to even things up at 9-all.
Joey Shallow scored the go-ahead tally for the Mighty Macs at the 10:58 mark of the fourth quarter, and Immaculata secured the win with three more goals during the final 3:31 of the contest.
D. Tuscai led the Mighty Macs with five goals and one assist.
Ryan Cipriani added three goals, and Shallow and
Mike Boyd each finished with two goals and one assist.
Brendan Dinneen tallied one goal. Jordan Smith had three assists and
Mike Nesci had one helper.

Jon Diodati made seven saves in the win. Centenary goalie Kyle McVay recorded 17 saves in the loss.
The Cyclones had four goals and one assist from Conor Nolan, and Tom Montalvo added two goals and two assists.
Immaculata plays its final regular-season contest on Saturday at 1 p.m. hosting Cabrini on Senior Day for the Mighty Macs.
