IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's lacrosse team picked up a Colonial States Athletic Conference victory with an 18-0 shutout against Rosemont College at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
A total of nine different players tallied for the Mighty Macs.
Kacie O'Neill and
Rebecca Whiteman each recorded hat tricks for Immaculata, and both recorded two assists to finish with five points.
Lauren Bigos also amassed five points with two goals and assisted on three other tallies.
Emily Hallett had four points on the day on two goals and two assists.
Chelsea Murta scored two goals and one assist while
Katie Cook also had three points – all on assists.
Kelly Kugler and
Lindsey Brigman each scored a pair of goals, and
Megan Chacosky and
Allison Salvo recorded one goal apiece.
Britt Worthington played the entire game in goal for Immaculata, making three saves. Rosemont keeper Simone Green stopped six Mighty Mac shots.
Immaculata won 17 of 20 draw controls, and the Mighty Macs outshot the Ravens 36-5.
The Mighty Macs led 15-0 at the half, led by eight goals during the opening seven minutes of the contests.
Immaculata will be back in action next Saturday when the Mighty Macs travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
