IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's lacrosse team couldn't overcome a strong second-half performance by Lebanon Valley College, as the host Mighty Macs fell to the Dutchmen, 15-6, in non-league play on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Kacie O'Neill and
Rebecca Whiteman each had three points for the Mighty Macs (1-4) on two goals and one assist.
Emily Hallett had one goal and one assist.
Lauren Bigos scored Immaculata's other marker, and
Alysia Remaley added one assist.
Lebanon Valley (2-2) started the game with three goals within the first six minutes to lead 3-0. Immaculata responded with four goals of its own to take the 4-3 advantage against the Dutchmen with 7:49 left before halftime. Whiteman's two goals and one assist came during the spurt for the Mighty Macs.
The Dutchmen tied the score at 4-4 with 7:35 remaining in the opening half, and scored twice more before Immaculata could answer. O'Neill and Bigos scored 26 second apart to knot the score at 6-all with 40 seconds left in the half. However, Lebanon Valley scored with just 24 seconds remaining to give the visitors a one-goal lead, 7-6, at halftime.
Lebanon Valley outscored Immaculata 8-0 during the second half to seal the win.

Britt Worthington made 10 saves while taking the loss. Lebanon Valley used a trio of keeper, but Erica Ameigh earned the win as she played the final 19 minutes of the first half, and made three saves.
Lebanon Valley's Lindsey Buckman and Hana Krechel each had five goals and one assist.
Immaculata begins the Colonial States Athletic Conference portion of its schedule on Tuesday, traveling to Neumann at 4 p.m.
