IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University fell to Elizabethtown College, 16-4, in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Immaculata slips to 2-3 overall this season while Elizabethtown improves to 2-1.
Joey Shallow recorded two goals while
Brendan Dinneen and Jordan Smith each registered one tally apiece for Immaculata. Both Ben and
Dante Tuscai had one assist.
The Blue Jays scored two goals during the first six minutes of the contest for the early 2-0 lead. However, the Mighty Macs scored three straight goals during a four-minute span to end the first quarter, and Immaculata led, 3-2, after the first period.
Elizabethtown got two goals in the second quarter to take a 4-3 lead into halftime. The Blue Jays continued their scoring, netting seven consecutive tallies for an 11-3 advantage. Shallow stopped the Blue Jays' run with 10:28 remaining in the contest to make the score 11-4.
Jon Diodati finished with 11 saves for the Mighty Macs. The Blue Jays used three different goalkeepers, but starter Brendan Corcoran made 13 saves to earn the win in 55 minutes of action.
Elizabethtown's Greg Kenneally scored three goals and had one assist, and Derek Kline also registered three goals.
Immaculata hosts Richard Stockton on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
