Women's Basketball Tops Rosemont, 73-61

Immaculata, Pa.-Immaculata University defeated Rosemont College, 73-61, on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball play at Alumnae Hall.

Chrissy Esbensen paced the Mighty Macs with 14 points and seven steals. She was one of three Mighty Macs in double figures. Chelsea McTigue recorded 13 points to go along with five rebounds. Courtney Murphy was the final Mighty Mac in double figures with 11 points.

Immaculata trailed by as many as 17 with 10 minutes left to play in the first half, and was able to chip away at the lead to gain a 40-33 advantage going into halftime.

The Mighty Macs continued to pull away in the second half and never trailed the Ravens as Immaculata improved to 14-7 on the season and 9-3 in league play.

The Rosemont offense boasted four scorers in double figures led by Heather Daneker's 19 points. 

Immaculata returns home on Monday, February 7 as it hosts CSAC opponent Neumann University. Game time against the Knights is set for 6 p.m.
