Mighty Macs Down Philadelphia Biblical, 90-32

Immaculata University defeated Philadelphia Biblical University, 90-32 in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball play on Saturday afternoon at Alumnae Hall.

Courtney Murphy led the Mighty Macs (10-5, 5-1 CSAC) with 16 points, including four three-point baskets, and had a team-leading five assists. Leah Kuczynski was the other Mighty Mac with double figures, registering 15 points. Bridget Welz and Jackie Deegler each chipped in nine points apiece in the victory. Chelsea McTigue was the Mighty Macs' leader on the glass with eight rebounds to add to her seven points. In all, 12 different Immaculata players scored in the winning effort over the Crimson Eagles (2-12, 1-5 CSAC). 

Immaculata opened with a 20-0 run to start the game, which continued on to a commanding 57-14 lead by halftime. The Mighty Macs never trailed in the game.

Immaculata finished the contest 34-for-64 (.531) from the field and was 50 percent (7-14) from behind the arc. The Mighty Macs' seven three-pointers marked a season high, and the most since connecting on 10 three's against Cedar Crest on Feb. 4, 2010.

For the contest, the Mighty Macs forced 32 Crimson Eagle turnovers, and had 40 points off those errors. Immaculata also held PBU to just 23.3 percent shooting for the game. Philadelphia Biblical was led by Careth Herron's 14 points.
