Women's Lacrosse Suffers Setback At Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Immaculata University was defeated by Centenary College on Saturday afternoon, 24-13, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse contest.

Immaculata falls to 2-9 overall and 1-4 CSAC, while Centenary stays undefeated at 10-0, 5-0 in league play.

Kacie O'Neill tallied six points on four goals and two assists. Rebecca Whiteman and Lauren Bigos each recorded hat tricks, and Bigos had one assist. Emily Hallett had two goals while Allison Salvo tallied one goal.

Immaculata came within four goals of Centenary, 15-11, midway through the second period, but the Cyclones ran off eight unanswered goals to put the game out of reach for the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata goalkeeper Britt Worthington made 11 saves. Centenary keeper Leslie Ann Prichard was forced to make just five stops.

Centenary's Megan Mars scored eight goals and also added three assists. Danielle Bay scored seven goals and also added a game-high five assists.

Immaculata travels to Rosemont on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start opposite the Ravens.
