IMMACULATA, Pa. - Marywood University outscored Immaculata University 4-2 during the fourth quarter as the visiting Pacers outdistanced themselves from the Mighty Macs, 9-6, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference men's lacrosse at Draper Walsh Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Immaculata falls to 5-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference, while Marywood improves to 7-1 overall with the win and 2-0 in the league.
Immaculata was led by
Joe Keller's three points on two goals and one assist.
Tom Hartney also netted two scores. John cacchio and
Brendan Dinneen also tallied one goal apiece for the Mighty Macs, while Dante and
Ben Tuscai each recorded one assist each.
After trailing 4-3 at the half, Cacchio scored unassisted 2:42 into the third quarter knotting the score at 4-all. Marywood answered with the only other goal of the stanza with 4:30 left in the third as William Roerden shot one into the back of the Immaculata net.
Roerden's score started a 4-0 run for the Pacers that put the visitors up, 8-4, with 10:16 to play in the contest.
Keller answered for Immaculata with his second goal with 4:01 remaining, but before the Mighty Macs could get anything going, the Pacers netted their ninth and final goal of the night.
Hartney tried a final comeback for the Mighty Macs with a man-up goal off a feed from B. Tuscai with 1:32 remaining, but the Immaculata offense was stopped from that point.
Marywood was led by two goals from Roerden and Gregory Nester, while Roerden also added one assist. Jamie Beagen also tallied three points on the night for the Pacers with one goal and two assists.

Andrew Sim recorded 12 saves in the loss. Pacers' keeper Jesse Habich started and got the win, making 13 stops in just over 56 minutes in the crease.
Immaculata travels to Shenandoah on Wednesday, April 7 for a 7 p.m. contest against the Hornets.
