SCRANTON, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's lacrosse team was defeated by Marywood University, 19-12, on Thursday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.
The Mighty Macs slip to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the league while the Pacers improved to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the CSAC.
Kacie O'Neill finished with five points after scoring a team-high four goals and one assist.
Lauren Bigos tallied a hat trick and added one assist for four points.
Alysia Remaley scored two goals and
Rebecca Whiteman ended the contest with one goal and one assist.
Marywood built a 4-1 lead over the first 4:48 of the game behind three goals from Taylor McKeown and one by Meg Barbarino. Immaculata responded with goals by O'Neill and Bigos to cut its deficit to one goal,4-3, but the Pacers would score four of the final five goals of the first half to take an 8-4 lead into the break.
McKeown scored twice more in the opening minute of the second stanza, and Marywood stretched its lead to 10-4. The two teams would trade goals for the next 16-plus minutes with the Pacers holding a 15-10 advantage with 12:14 to play.

Alysia Remaley got one back for the visitors with 6:37 remaining, making the score 17-11.
Emily Hallett closed out the scoring for the Mighty Macs with an unassisted tally with 21 seconds remaining in the game.

McKeown registered a game-high nine goals. Allie Sodl amassed five points on three goals and two assists for the Pacers. Katie Sullivan made 10 saves to pick up the win.
Immaculata returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Neumann in a CSAC match-up slated to begin at 4 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
