IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University had three players with a hat trick, led by Kacie O'Neill's four goals, but visiting Gwynedd-Mercy College took home the win, 19-10, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Immaculata falls to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC on the year. Gwynedd-Mercy evened its mark at 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the league.

O'Neill paced the Mighty Macs with four goals and one assist for five points. Rebecca Whiteman finished with three goals and one assist while Lauren Bigos tallied her three goals all in the second half.

The Griffins took a commanding 8-2 lead with 6:21 left in the first half, and eventually extended that margin to 11-3 by halftime.

Following the Griffins scoring a goal 1:15 into the half, the Mighty Macs made it a game with four straight tallies to cut their deficit to 12-7.

Feeling the pressure, Gwynedd-Mercy rattled off four consecutive goals of its own to cushion its lead back to nine, 16-7.

Whiteman and Bigos scored just 12 seconds apart for Immaculata to put the Mighty Macs down 16-9 with nine minutes to play. However, Immaculata's momentum was started by Gwynedd-Mercy's tally with 8:15 to play, and all the Mighty Macs could muster the rest of the way was another Bigos score with 5:07 left.

Colleen Dellostretto and Kerri Boon each recorded six points for Gwynedd-Mercy. Dellostretto had a team-best six goals and Boon finished with four goals and two assists. Morgan Hosler also finished with a hat trick for the Griffins.
