ANNVILLE, Pa. –
Rebecca Whiteman registered a hat trick and the Mighty Macs allowed just two goals after halftime, but host Lebanon Valley prevailed, 10-5, over Immaculata in a non-league women's lacrosse match on a rain-drenched Saturday afternoon.
Immaculata slips to 0-3 overall while Lebanon Valley (2-1) picked up its second straight win.
Lebanon Valley outscored Immaculata, 8-2, in the first half as the hosts jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Whiteman could get the visitors on the board. LVC then ran off three more goals to take a 7-1 advantage early.
Immaculata outscored Lebanon Valley 4-3 the rest of the way, but could not get close enough to make a run at Lebanon Valley.
Kacie O'Neill scored twice for Immaculata. Brittany Worthington made eight saves in the loss.
Immaculata opens its home slate on Tuesday at 4 p.m. when the Mighty Macs take on Cabrini in its CSAC opener as well.
