RADNOR, Pa. – Kelly Brown's game-high 18 points weren't enough on Thursday night as Immaculata fell to Cabrini, 70-51, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball contest at Nerney Field House.
The Cavaliers improve their mark to 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the league, while the Mighty Macs drop to 6-8 overall, 2-4 in the CSAC.
Bridget Welz finished with nine points, five rebounds and three steals. Chelsea McTigue led the Mighty Macs on the glass collecting eight rebounds and chipped in eight points.
The contest began as a back-and-forth affair with five ties and two lead changes during the first 12 minutes of the contest. Immaculata tied the contest at 19-all with 8:42 remaining in the opening half after Brianna Duffin hit two foul shots.
However, Cabrini outscored Immaculata 17-6 during the rest of the half, and held the Mighty Macs to just one basket from the field during that stretch, to take the lead for good. The Cavaliers led, 36-25, at halftime and kept their double figure advantage the rest of the way.
Alyssa Brady led Cabrini with 41 points, while Kayleen Smith added 12 points and six rebounds. Brittany McLeod led the Cavaliers on the glass with eight rebounds.
Immaculata travels to Baptist Bible on Saturday, Jan. 24. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
