Scranton Upends Immaculata, 15-4

IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata University's men's lacrosse team fell to the University of Scranton, 15-4, in the Mighty Macs final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday night, April 8, at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Immaculata falls to 2-6 overall this season and Scranton improved to 8-3.

Joe Keller posted two goals and added an assist, while Brendan Dinneen amassed one goal and one assist. Tom Hartney recorded one goal in the effort for the Might Macs.

Andrew Sim collected 23 saves, one shy of his season high, between the pipes for Immaculata.

Scranton scored the first two goals of the game, and led 4-1 at the end of the first quarter. Immaculata scored a man-up goal 12 seconds into the second period as Hartney found the back of the cage. However, the Royals scored five unanswered goals, and took a 9-2 lead into intermission.

Keller added the Mighty Macs two goals in the second half, one each in the third and fourth quarters.

Christian Dugan paced Scranton with three goals and Thomas Alati amassed three points for the game on two goals and one assist. Jeremy Dowiak started and played the first half in the net for the Royals, allowing two goals and making one save. Scranton's three goalies combined for six saves for the night.

Immaculata will host Alvernia on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
