BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Immaculata University women's lacrosse team fell to Bryn Mawr College, 13-3, on Thursday afternoon at Applebee Field in the season finales for both schools.
The Mighty Macs finish the season at 1-12 overall, while the Owls wrap up their season 5-11.
Immaculata was led by one-goal performances from Jenna Specht, Claire Lichty and Jenn Norris while Audra Dinapoli registered one assist. Melanie Suarez recorded eight saves in goal for the Mighty Macs.
Bryn Mawr used an 8-0 first-half run to power its way past Immaculata. The Owls' first-half was powered by four goals from Greta Flaherty, while Moriah Scott netted three and Georgia Lawrence scored one. Flaherty added three assists while Scott, Cara Cogliuzzo and Jessica Wurtz tallied one assist each.
After half-time, Lawrence got the Owls on the board 29 seconds into action. Immaculata's Lichty netted the Mighty Macs first goal at 1:55 off a pass from Dinapoli. Bryn Mawr answered back with three goals, before Specht netted a goal at 19:25 to make the score 12-2. Norris tallied the final goal of the game with just 48 seconds as she scored unassisted.
