Cabrini Tops Immaculata, 22-2

RADNOR, Pa. - The Cabrini College men's lacrosse team recorded a 22-2 win over visiting Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon. 

The Cavaliers improve to 12-2 and remain unbeaten at 7-0 in the Pennsylavnia Athletic Conference, while the Mighty Macs fall to 3-8 overall, 2-4 in the PAC.

Brendan Dinneen scored both goals of the game for the Mighty Macs.

The Cavaliers scored the first three goals of the game before Immaculata got on the scoreboard with 8:34 left in the first period on a goal by Dinneen off a pass from Alan Lorentz. Immaculata trailed just 5-1 after the first quarter.

Cabrini blew the game open in the second quarter scoring 10 goals, and took a 15-1 lead into intermission.

Cabrini built a 17-1 lead at the 13:37 mark of the third period off 14 consecutive goals by the Cavaliers. Immaculata stopped the run as Dinneen found the back of the cage off a Tom Hartney feed with 10:25 remaining in the third quarter.

Andrew Sim registered 24 saves in the net for Immaculata. Bobby Chambers played the first half in goal for Cabrini, recording two saves and earning in the win. Kevin Chenoweth played the third period (two saves) and freshman Sean Reynolds spent the fourth period in the net. 

Scott Reimer's seven goals and one assist led the Cavaliers, offensively. Rich Romanelli added three goals for Cabrini and Casey Grugan recorded two goals and two assists.

The Mighty Macs close out the home slate on Wednesday, April 23, at 7 p.m. hosting the Eastern University Eagles.
