Widener Tops Immaculata, 18-6

IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata University's women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-6 loss to Widener University on Thursday, April 10, at Draper Walsh Stadium.

The Mighty Macs fall to 1-7 on the season, while the Pride improve to 3-7.

Claire Lichty registered two goals to lead the Mighty Macs, while Kim DeYoung, Diane Quintanille, Rebecca Whiteman and Lauren Bigos all recorded one goal in the effort for Immaculata. Calire Giambi collected five saves between the pipes for the Mighty Macs.

Kerri Schulz amassed six points for Widener on two goals and four assists, while Rebecca Corrado and Tara Krasley each registered three goals to pace the Pride. Jill Cummings was forced to make 11 saves in goal for Widener.

After Immaculata scored its first goal just 37 seconds into the game, Widener went off to the races scoring 10 straight goals. The Pride led at the break 12-4.

Immaculata returns to action on Saturday, April 12, when they travel to Alvernia College. Face-off is set for 1 pm.
