IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's basketball team dropped a 57-45 decision to Cedar Crest College on Saturday, Feb.9, as the Mighty Macs celebrated “Think Pink” Day at Alumnae Hall.
Immaculata falls to 4-17 overall and 2-10 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, while Cedar Crest ups its record to 6-15 overall, 1-12 PAC.
Junior Stephanie Stripe led the Mighty Macs with 15 points, three rebounds and a career-high three steals. Juniors Kasey Hicks and Courtney Dixon each added eight points apiece. Hicks also grabbed 13 rebounds, while Dixon pulled down seven. Freshman Deanna Tropea had a career day with 14 rebounds.
Cedar Crest had two players record double-doubles. Leann Wallower finished with game-high honors with 23 points and tallied 12 rebounds. Kelly Oakes came down with a game-high 17 rebounds and added 12 points for the double-double. Sarah Campbell also chipped in 16 points.
Immaculata will play its final regular-season road contest when it travels to Eastern on Monday, Feb. 11, for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
