Box Score

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Kieran Keelan had his second hat trick of the season and Abdullah Konneh scored two goals to lead the Immaculata men's soccer team to an 8-0 shutout of Baptist Bible at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 4. It marked Immaculata's first Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup of the season.

The Mighty Macs improved to 5-3-2 and 1-0 in the CSAC, while the Defenders now stand at 2-9 overall and 0-3 in the league.

The IU victory extended the Mighty Macs winning streak to five games. The eight goals were their largest offensive output of the season, and the second largest in four-year program history. Immaculata's highest-scoring game was a 10-0 win versus Valley Forge Christian on Oct. 3, 2007.

It marked just the fifth time overall that a Mighty Mac recorded a hat trick, and Keelan becomes the first player to registered two hat tricks during his Immaculata career.

Konneh started the scoring in the 24th minute with his third goal of the season. Dan Ventura took a shot that deflected off the post where Konneh was waiting to find the back of the net.

Immaculata put in its second goal just over a minute later. Michael Moore made a diving header that slipped past the keeper off an assist from Gio DeMartini. It marked Moore's third tally of the season and DeMartini's team-leading fourth assist of the season. The Mighty Macs scored third final tally of the first half at the 32:48 mark as Keelan scored the first of his three goals.

After a scoreless start to the second half, Keelan scored his second goal of the game in the 61st minute on a pass from Alan Lorentz. DeMartini tallied his first goal of the season in the 65th minute as he got one past the Defenders keeper to give the Mighty Macs a 5-0 lead.

Keelan finished off his hat trick in the 71st minute, and Konneh scored his second goal of the game at the 77:52 mark on a pass set up from Chad Mascitelli, his first career point. Nick Camargo finished out Immaculata's scoring in the 87th minute on an assist from Mitchell Torh.

Three Immaculata goalkeepers combined for the team's third shutout of the season. Zach Oas started the game and played the first 63:38. Oas made Immaculata's only three saves of the contest. Richard Christ and Jimmy Capser each played in the second half. Baptist Bible goalkeeper Andrew Cartledge made six saves in the loss.
